Cryopreservation of Pike Perch Sperm in Hatchery Conditions
Experiments were carried out on pike perch (Sander lucioperca L.) to find a method for stripping
sperm without contamination by urine, to determine sperm concentration, and to fertilize large
batches of eggs with cryopreserved sperm. Induced spawning technology for pike perch, an
important predator fish species in Hungarian and central-eastern European pond aquaculture,
has been developed only recently. Sperm cryopreservation can be an important tool for several
reasons including the simplification of hatchery work and long-term preservation of genomes of
males with high genetic value. In the present study, sperm was stripped without urine contamination,
improving sperm quality, and large amounts of eggs were fertilized using 0.25 ml sperm,
resulting in hatching percentages of 55±3% for 30-g batches of eggs and 87% for a 50-g batch
Labour market institutions in Hungary with a focus on wage and employment flexibility
It is widely believed today, that the operation of the labour markets is influenced by institutional factors, affecting macroeconomic adjustment in response to shocks. In this way, labour market institutions affect both cyclical and long-term growth and inflation performance of an economy. The aim of our paper is to review the operation of Hungarian labour market institutions from the point of view of labour market flexibility and find its place in international comparison in the light of existing stock of knowledge on the subject. We describe the institutional setup of the labour markets through seven dimensions (unemployment generosity, tax wedge, active labour market policies, employment protection legislation, product market regulation, union density and coverage and wage bargaining institutions) for which internationally comparable data are available. We conclude that the Hungarian labour market institutions are rather flexible in EU-comparison. However, tax wedge is high and the active labour market policies still perform poorly, both contributing to weak employment.wage flexibility, unemployment, labour market institutions, product market regulation, policy complementarity.
Trustworthy Refactoring via Decomposition and Schemes: A Complex Case Study
Widely used complex code refactoring tools lack a solid reasoning about the
correctness of the transformations they implement, whilst interest in proven
correct refactoring is ever increasing as only formal verification can provide
true confidence in applying tool-automated refactoring to industrial-scale
code. By using our strategic rewriting based refactoring specification
language, we present the decomposition of a complex transformation into smaller
steps that can be expressed as instances of refactoring schemes, then we
demonstrate the semi-automatic formal verification of the components based on a
theoretical understanding of the semantics of the programming language. The
extensible and verifiable refactoring definitions can be executed in our

Parallel asynchronous computation of the values of an associative function
This paper shows an application of a formal approach to parallel program design. The basic model is related to temporal logics. We summarize the concepts of a relational model of parallelism in the introduction. The main part is devoted to the problem of synthesizing a solution for the problem of parallel asynchronous computation of the values of an associative function. The result is a programming theorem, which is wide applicable for different problems. The abstract program is easy to implement effectively on several architectures. The applicability of results is investigated for parallel architectures such as for hypercubes and transputer networks
